Florensis is an innovative, second-generation family business from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht (Netherlands), founded in 1941 under the name Hamer Plant. The company now has a proven track record worldwide as a breeder and supplier of starting material for professional growers.
With around 2,000 dedicated and highly-skilled employees from the Netherlands, Europe and far beyond, Florensis produces over 900 million young plants from seed and cuttings every year.
Locations
Florensis has sales offices in the Netherlands (Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht), Belgium (Sint-Amands), Germany (Weeze), Italy (Lazzate), Poland (Warsaw) and the UK (Oxfordshire). Through agents Florensis supplies young plants (plugs), propagated from seed and cuttings, all over the world.
In addition to annuals, perennials, pot plants, primulas, pansies and violas,Florensis also supplies young plants for cut flowers worldwide through Florensis Cut Flowers in Rijsenhout (Netherlands).
Florensis has special cultivation sites for the production of unrooted cuttings and seeds. These are based in Ethiopia, Kenya and Portugal and are essential to maintaining and improving the highest possible level of quality. Young plant production takes place in the Netherlands. Florensis has established a reputation for high reliability of supply for young plants, which always come in the familiar blue Florensis tray.
