Environmental certification
All our production locations are certified according to the internationally recognised MPS-ABC program in flower and plant production, in which we strive for the (higher) MPS-A qualification. This Milieu Programma Sierteelt covers the aspects of crop protectants, fertilisers, energy, water and waste. Neonicotinoids are banned from our production locations; instead, we use biological crop protection.
Social certification
Our propagation locations in Ethiopia and Kenya are MPS Socially Qualified (SQ), KFC (Kenya Flower Council) Silver or EPHEA Gold certified. These certifications indicate that our cuttings are produced under good working conditions.
EHPEA Gold Certificates
EPHEA gold; this certificate is a cumulation of mainly environmental and social standards which are brought together in the code of conduct which is controlled by the Ethiopian Horticultural Producer Exporters Association. The Gold level certification requires a farm to be active in the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR), product quality management and capacity building for the sector.

Fairtrade Certificates
Fairtrade; This certification is a testament to our dedication to sustainable practices, social responsibility, and fair trade principles. It highlights our commitment to providing fair wages, safe working conditions, and environmental conservation within the floral industry.
MPS-SQ Certificates
MPS SQ; this certification guarantees secure good social working conditions for all farm workers. Florensis maintains this social certification, or the equivalent which is acknowledged by Certifying Bodies for all overseas Florensis farms.
USDA Certificates
USDA executes inspections to verify if the facilities are compliant with the United States Code of Federal Regulations Title 7 §319.37-21 and the Minimum Sanitation Protocols for Offshore Geranium Cutting Production. The facilities are authorized to ship Pelargonium spp. plant cuttings to the United States.
MPS-ABC Certificates
MPS-ABC; the basic certification for sustainably produced plants. Registration and benchmarking obtain a score. MPS ABC with an A qualification is the standard for all Florensis farms.
KFC Silver Certificates
KFC Silver; The Kenya Flower Council Certification Scheme is the Flowers and Ornamentals Sustainability Standard (F.O.S.S) and has a focus on social and environmental conditions. KFC is a robust certification schedule which is equivalent to, and acknowledged by Global GAP.
MPS-GAP Certificates
MPS-GAP; the basic certification for good agricultural practice to secure safe working conditions and improved safety for the environment. This certificate, or equivalent acknowledged certification, is the standard for all Florensis farms.
NAKT SEE Certificates
Naktuinbouw Elite; This certificate guarantees the quality of the registered products that have been tested and certified under these certification requirements. The SEE certification consists of compliance with the regulations and the assessment and testing of the plant material.
Global GAP Certificates
Global GAP; the well known certification for horticulturally or agriculturally produced edible products. This is one of the obligatory certificates to obtain before acquiring the MPSFVVC label. Alongside essentials such as safe working conditions, this certificate has a strong focus on company hygiene standards.
